somewhere along the way, the claw clip became a pretty accessory you buy knowing it'll eventually crack, slip, or snap — already half-planning the replacement before this one's even broken. function was whatever was left over. we didn't think you should have to choose.

behind noonie

i kept wondering why something we wear so often wasn’t designed to adapt to us.

as a nurse, i knew what it was like to wear a claw clip through a 12-hour shift, constantly taking it out and readjusting it as it dug into my scalp or lost its hold. i wanted one that could stay comfortable and secure all day.

so i started rethinking the claw clip from the curve up. something flexible enough to bend, strong enough to hold, and comfortable enough to stay in all day.

what started as a small frustration became sketches, material tests, prototypes, and a lot of tiny adjustments.

i created noonie to move differently: a flexible body, a more comfortable curve, and a secure hold that bends instead of snaps.

the goal was never to make more stuff. it was to make one everyday thing better. a clip worth keeping, rather than another piece of rigid plastic you already know you’ll have to replace.
